This policy explains how Mandopoplyrics collects, uses, shares and retains information when you visit mandopoplyrics.com, request a song or subscribe to the newsletter.

- Song requests: the song title and artist you submit, the request date and whether the request has been processed.
- Correspondence: information you include when contacting us about privacy, copyright or another enquiry.
Do not submit sensitive personal information through the song-request form.
Information processed automatically
Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages and diagnostic or security events. We use this information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot and understand use of the site. IP addresses and similar identifiers may constitute personal data under applicable law.
Automated content preparation
Mandopoplyrics uses automated language and content-generation services to help prepare drafts of translations, Mandarin learning guides and artist profiles. Inputs are limited to song text, music metadata, reviewed translations and public reference material needed for that editorial task. Outputs are cached and must pass the site’s validation and review requirements before publication.
We do not intentionally send newsletter addresses, correspondence, visitor analytics or security logs, administrative credentials or private dashboard data to these content-generation services. A requested song title and artist may later become ordinary catalogue metadata, but the song-request database record itself is not supplied to the content-generation prompt.

Mandopoplyrics uses YouTube API Services to identify public music videos and uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedded player to display selected videos. Mandopoplyrics and third-party services used by the site, including Google and YouTube, may store, access, or collect information directly or indirectly on or from your device or browser. This may occur through cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers or similar technologies. When you load a YouTube preview image, or choose to load or interact with an embedded YouTube player, Google or YouTube may process device, browser, network, cookie and viewing information in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. Mandopoplyrics does not ask visitors to sign in to YouTube and does not access their private YouTube account data.
Affiliate links
Mandopoplyrics participates or may participate in affiliate programs with third-party partners. If you follow an affiliate link or make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The external partner may process information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Product availability and prices are controlled by the external seller or platform.
Sharing and service providers
We may share information with providers that host, secure or support the site and database; advertising, analytics or consent providers when enabled; and authorities or advisers where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or prevent abuse. We do not sell newsletter addresses or song-request information. Affiliate partners receive information only when your browser interacts with their links or services.
Retention, unsubscribe and deletion
Newsletter records are retained while your subscription is active and for as long afterward as reasonably necessary to document consent and honour opt-outs. Song requests and correspondence are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to process the request, operate the service and meet legal obligations. Every newsletter may include an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribing marks the subscription inactive.
To request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted, email lyricsmandopop@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where required by law or needed to maintain an opt-out record.
Security, international processing and children
We use reasonable safeguards, but no Internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
