Sources & Corrections
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Mandopoplyrics combines music-reference information, lyric candidates and language processing to create each page. Different source types serve different purposes, and no single result is assumed to be correct merely because it appears online.
Source categories
- Official music information: artist and label releases, official music videos and established streaming catalogues.
- Music metadata catalogues: listings used to corroborate titles, artist credits, albums and release dates.
- Independent lyric sources: lyric candidates compared for identity, completeness and textual agreement where available.
- Language references: dictionaries and contextual language knowledge used to review pronunciation, idioms and translation choices.
The presence of information in one source does not guarantee publication. Conflicting, incomplete or mismatched material may be withheld while further evidence is sought.
What you can report
Please contact us if you notice:
- An incorrect song title, artist credit, album or release year.
- Lyrics belonging to a different song, artist, recording, cover or remix.
- Missing lyrics, credits, section labels or technical data displayed as lyrics.
- An incorrect Simplified Chinese conversion or Pinyin pronunciation.
- An English translation that changes the meaning, voice or emotional context.
- A YouTube video that is unavailable or does not match the published song.
How to submit a correction
Email lyricsmandopop@gmail.com with the page URL, the line or field that appears incorrect, your suggested correction and—where possible—a link to an official or reputable supporting source. Please do not send passwords, API credentials or unrelated personal information.
How corrections are handled
Reports are checked against the page’s existing evidence and suitable independent references. Clear corrections may be applied directly. Ambiguous cases may remain pending, and pages with material identity or lyric-integrity problems may be removed from publication until they can be verified again.
Rights and removal requests
Copyright, ownership and removal requests follow the separate DMCA process. A song request submitted through the Request Form asks us to consider adding a song; it is not a correction or rights-removal notice.
Our commitment
We aim to correct substantiated errors, avoid presenting uncertain information as fact and improve validation rules when a recurring problem is identified. Our full public methodology is summarized in Editorial & Translation Standards.
